LAMP

--

Turn on the light within and write.

It doesn’t have to be conscious,

Writing about the extinguished light.

But when you reflect, sharpen your aim

Never underestimate the word.

When you hold it, all light turns on,

Even from a burned-out bulb.

Never underestimate the word.

It might be the key, the missing piece

To repair your lamp.

It might be your matchstick, which, even without electricity,

Can still light your candle.

Turn on the light inside and write.

You need light to write,

And without writing,

There is no light.
