JAZZ HIGH INTO THE NIGHT
Jan 24, 2025
To begin with, jazz is
A chance of an animistic wisdom
In the urban wound of matter.
On the building walls, at the café counter,
In the garage, at the newsstand,
At the mailbox, on the bus route,
On East Broadway.
At the traffic light turning green,
In high heels on the asphalt,
At the portals of the subway.
Touched by what touches us,
We might not even sleep tonight.
And as what is above is like what is below,
This music also resonates deep in the pleroma,
Through this eternity
Circulating high through the night.
